Overnight Oats w/ Spiced Apples and Chia

Overnight Oats Ingredients

  • ¾ c gluten-free rolled oats

  • ¼ c plant based milk

  • ½ water

  • 2 T chia seeds

  • ½ T  maple syrup or honey

  • ½ vanilla bean powder or extract

  • ½ t cinnamon


  • Combine oats, liquid, chia seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla into a 16-ounce mason jar or container of choice. Mix well. Seal shut and place jar in refrigerator overnight.


Spiced Apples Ingredients

  • 1 organic apple (whatever variety you like)

  • Pinch of clove or 5-6 whole cloves

  • ½ t ground cinnamon or  1 whole cinnamon stick

  • ¼ t cardamom

  • water to just cover the apples in a small saucepan



  • Peel the apple or pear and chop it into small pieces.

  • Place the fruit in a small saucepan and add the water.

  • Add the raisins and spices.

  • Bring it to a boil and then simmer it on low.

  • Cook it for about 20 minutes until the fruit is very tender.

  • Remove the apples and place them on a serving dish.

  • Use the remaining liquid as a topper.
